    The Japji Sahib

"The Japji Sahib is considered by Sikhs a key to their sacred volume and an epitome of its doctrine. It is the immortal prayer chant of the Sikhs. It is recited by Sikhs early in the morning and forms part of the morning prayer. It is the duty of all Sikhs, even if they cannot read, to have themselves taught this great morning divine prayer".

    Black Belt in Taekwando

I have not being blogging here a lot. Mainly I blog on my technology blogs. Anyway just a few months ago, i got my black belt in taekwando. I consider that to be a great achievement. It is one of the things i wanted ever since i was a kid. I first got introduced to taekwando, 16-15 years ago. I had to stop after just a year or two as i came to Singapore to work. Since i started here in Singapore for the past 3-4 years, my health has got better, a more mascular and lean body, and most important, it created a boost in self-confidence. My daugther is now a black-tip. She started  when she was 4 and now she is 7. It has helped her a lot and most important, she has fun since i am in the same class with her. My son who is 5 just recently joined too. He is still trying to figure out the left and right of hand, feet and leg movements.

My two other daughters, Khushwant and Kiran are only 3 months old :) Hopefully they will join in as well and Satwant could be their mentor :)

    Chimps More Evolved Than Humans?

April 16, 2007 — A comparison of human and chimpanzee genes has revealed a startling possibility: chimps may have evolved more than humans in the 6 or 7 million years since both diverged from a common ancestor.

A study comparing human and chimp genes that appear to have evolved since we parted ways shows that humans have about 154 such genes and our nearest primate relative a whopping 233.

    Connecting the digital home

    From BBC Click Online.

"It has long been promised that the PC will become the entertainment hub of the home. However, the problem with this vision is that our computers tend to sit in the bedroom and means getting those movies, music and pictures the last few metres to the living room is a real pain. "
