7月21日 The Japji Sahib"The Japji Sahib is considered by Sikhs a key to their sacred volume and an epitome of its doctrine. It is the immortal prayer chant of the Sikhs. It is recited by Sikhs early in the morning and forms part of the morning prayer. It is the duty of all Sikhs, even if they cannot read, to have themselves taught this great morning divine prayer". 5月21日 Personality Tests3月1日 Exactly what is Emotional Intelligence?The term encompasses the following five characteristics and abilities:
Mood management--handling feelings so they're relevant to the current situation and you react appropriately Self-motivation--"gathering up" your feelings and directing yourself towards a goal, despite self-doubt, inertia, and impulsiveness Empathy--recognizing feelings in others and tuning into their verbal and nonverbal cues Managing relationships--handling interpersonal interaction, conflict resolution, and negotiations 1月30日 Embracing the Glory - Nelson Mandela"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light , not our darkness , that most frightens us. We ask ourselves,"Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous,talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We were born to manifest the glory of God that is within us.....And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others" Nelson Mandela 12月16日 Dale Carnegie QuotesAny fool can criticize, condemn, and complain - and most fools do. Dale Carnegie Applause is a receipt, not a bill. Dale Carnegie Are you bored with life? Then throw yourself into some work you believe in with all your heart, live for it, die for it, and you will find happiness that you had thought could never be yours. Dale Carnegie Develop success from failures. Discouragement and failure are two of the surest stepping stones to success. Dale Carnegie Do the hard jobs first. The easy jobs will take care of themselves. Dale Carnegie Do the thing you fear to do and keep on doing it... that is the quickest and surest way ever yet discovered to conquer fear. Dale Carnegie Don't be afraid to give your best to what seemingly are small jobs. Every time you conquer one it makes you that much stronger. If you do the little jobs well, the big ones will tend to take care of themselves. Dale Carnegie Each nation feels superior to other nations. That breeds patriotism - and wars. Dale Carnegie Fear not those who argue but those who dodge. Dale Carnegie Feeling sorry for yourself, and your present condition, is not only a waste of energy but the worst habit you could possibly have. Dale Carnegie Flaming enthusiasm, backed up by horse sense and persistence, is the quality that most frequently makes for success. Dale Carnegie If you believe in what you are doing, then let nothing hold you up in your work. Much of the best work of the world has been done against seeming impossibilities. The thing is to get the work done. Dale Carnegie If you can't sleep, then get up and do something instead of lying there worrying. It's the worry that gets you, not the lack of sleep. Dale Carnegie If you want to be enthusiastic, act enthusiastic. Dale Carnegie If you want to conquer fear, don't sit home and think about it. Go out and get busy. Dale Carnegie If you want to gather honey, don't kick over the beehive. Dale Carnegie Inaction breeds doubt and fear. Action breeds confidence and courage. If you want to conquer fear, do not sit home and think about it. Go out and get busy. Dale Carnegie It isn't what you have, or who you are, or where you are, or what you are doing that makes you happy or unhappy. It is what you think about. Dale Carnegie Keep on raging - to stop the aging. Dale Carnegie Men of age object too much, consult too long, adventure too little, repent too soon, and seldom drive business home to the full period, but content themselves with a mediocrity of success. Dale Carnegie Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all. Dale Carnegie Most of us have far more courage than we ever dreamed we possessed. Dale Carnegie Naturalness is the easiest thing in the world to acquire, if you will forget yourself-forget about the impression you are trying to make. Dale Carnegie One of the most tragic things I know about human nature is that all of us tend to put off living. We are all dreaming of some magical rose garden over the horizon instead of enjoying the roses that are blooming outside our windows today. Dale Carnegie Only the prepared speaker deserves to be confident. Dale Carnegie People rarely succeed unless they have fun in what they are doing. Dale Carnegie People say I'm cocky, but am I supposed to sit here and be insecure and not know where my future's going or not realize that moviemaking is the greatest thing to happen to me? Dale Carnegie Remember happiness doesn't depend upon who you are or what you have; it depends solely on what you think. Dale Carnegie Speakers who talk about what life has taught them never fail to keep the attention of their listeners. Dale Carnegie Success is getting what you want. Happiness is wanting what you get. Dale Carnegie Take a chance! All life is a chance. The man who goes farthest is generally the one who is willing to do and dare. Dale Carnegie Tell the audience what you're going to say, say it; then tell them what you've said. Dale Carnegie The essence of all art is to have pleasure in giving pleasure. Dale Carnegie The ideas I stand for are not mine. I borrowed them from Socrates. I swiped them from Chesterfield. I stole them from Jesus. And I put them in a book. If you don't like their rules, whose would you use? Dale Carnegie The only way to get the best of an argument is to avoid it. Dale Carnegie The person who goes farthest is generally the one who is willing to do and dare. The sure-thing boat never gets far from shore. Dale Carnegie The person who seeks all their applause from outside has their happiness in another's keeping . Dale Carnegie The royal road to a man's heart is to talk to him about the things he treasures most. Dale Carnegie The successful man will profit from his mistakes and try again in a different way. Dale Carnegie There are four ways, and only four ways, in which we have contact with the world. We are evaluated and classified by these four contacts: what we do, how we look, what we say, and how we say it. Dale Carnegie Those convinced against their will are of the same opinion still. Dale Carnegie When dealing with people, remember you are not dealing with creatures of logic, but creatures of emotion. Dale Carnegie When fate hands you a lemon, make lemonade. Dale Carnegie You are merely not feeling equal to the tasks before you. Dale Carnegie You can close more business in two months by becoming interested in other people than you can in two years by trying to get people interested in you. Dale Carnegie You can conquer almost any fear if you will only make up your mind to do so. For remember, fear doesn't exist anywhere except in the mind. Dale Carnegie You can make more friends in two months by becoming interested in other people than you can in two years by trying to get other people interested in you. Dale Carnegie You have it easily in your power to increase the sum total of this world's happiness now. How? By giving a few words of sincere appreciation to someone who is lonely or discouraged. Perhaps you will forget tomorrow the kind words you say today, but the recipient may cherish them over a lifetime. Dale Carnegie You never achieve success unless you like what you are doing. Dale Carnegie Your purpose is to make your audience see what you saw, hear what you heard, feel what you felt. Relevant detail, couched in concrete, colorful language, is the best way to recreate the incident as it happened and to picture it for the audience. Dale Carnegie 10月20日 The Pareto Principle (a.k.a. The 80:20 Rule)The Pareto Principle (a.k.a. The 80:20 Rule)
Summary: For those running a small business or home office, one finds that they have more things pulling at them then ever before. Consistent application of this rule will lead to dramatically improved productivity. While the rule is not an absolute, one should use it as a guide and reference point to ask whether or not they are truly focusing on the 20% (the Vital Few), or the 80% (The trivial many). True progress results from a consistent focus on the 20% most critical objectives. In the late 1800s, economist and avid gardener Vilfredo Pareto established that 80% of the land in Italy was owned by 20% of the population. While gardening he later observed that 20% of the peapods in his garden yielded 80% of the peas that were harvested. And thus was born a theory that has stood the test of time and scrutiny. The Pareto Principle or the 80:20 Rule has proven its validity in a number of other areas. In the business work, it has been found that the principle could be applied to many areas, such as: Applied to Meetings:
Applied to Interruptions;
Other such situations follow; there are many in real life.
These Pareto-type observations are not necessarily bad, or good. For example, if only 20% of the roads in a town handle 80% of the traffic, then that could be good for a maintenance crew who can concentrate mainly on the fewer roads; but it could be bad for commuters who take the busy roads. Such Pareto observations could lead to strategies; road crews could try to move commuters off of the busy roads, or commuters could move off on their own.
The important thing is to notice any such disproportions, and then possibly act on such observations.

8月6日 Jim Rohn QuotesHelping: Beginning: Life: Self Discipline: Success: Overcoming Failure:: Failure is not a single, cataclysmic event. You don't fail overnight. Instead, failure is a few errors in judgment, repeated every day. Effort: For every disciplined effort there is a multiple reward. Knowledge: Wealth:Formal education will make you a living; self-education will make you a fortune. Ambition: Goals. There's not telling what you can do when you get inspired by them. There's no telling what you can do when you believe in them. There's no telling what will happen when you act upon them.
What you give attention to, your subconscious mind absorbs and multiplies in your experience.As long as you continue to complain and harp on your financial troubles, you will magnify them and impoverish yourself. As long as you see yourself as a victim, your subconscious mind will arrange for you to be victimized. As long as you blame outside factors for your problems, you will be prey to those factors. WANT TO SUCCEED ?Get serious - about everything. Get Smart - needs patient, learn everything you can from every source Get Going - take action Get Better - no matter how long you live, you can get better everyday Get Away - Balance your life. Don't miss anything. /Jim Rohn 6月1日 Wally AmosIF LIFE HANDS YOU A LEMON, DON’T COMPLAIN, BUT INSTEAD MAKE LEMONADE TO SELL TO THOSE WHO ARE THIRSTY FROM COMPLAINING. Wally Amos, the man whom many consider to be the father of the gourmet cookie industry, has turned lemons into lemonade so often in his life that in his official portrait he holds a pitcher in one hand and a glass of lemonade in the other. A perennial optimist, Amos refuses to acknowledge that obstacles are anything other than stepping-stones to success. In a career that has spanned several decades, he has made it to the pinnacle of success several times, only to lose everything and be forced to start over. But he’s never lost faith. "You have to have the trust and faith to let go and not agonize," he says. "Don’t waste your time worrying. Worry is not preparation. Analyze the situation and focus on solutions. There is always an answer." |
